Geography of Nepal
Nepal is a landlocked country located in South Asia. It measures about 880 kilometers and has an area of 147,516 square kilometers (56,956 square mi ). Nepal is bordered by China from the north and India from the south, east and west. Geographically, Nepal is divided into three regions : Himalayan region , Hilly region and Terai region . The highest point in Nepal is Mount Everest (8,848 m) and the lowest point is in the Terai plains of Kechana Kalan situated in Jhapa(60m).
